The objective for this class is to engage the student with the basics of life science by the systematic study of God’s creation through observation and experimentation. The material covered will include cells and taxonomy, viruses, bacteria, plants, animals, and the human body, genetics, and heredity.
During our classroom time we will be conducting experiments, including dissection. (If your child is unable to participate in dissection, please contact me about alternatives). The students will get the experience of conducting experiments, collecting data, using critical thinking, and writing the findings in an organized scientific manner. Classroom meeting time will also include a review of the assigned reading materials, homework, quizzes, and tests.
This class will be focused for grades 6-9.
The textbook and student lab book will be determined later.
