Do you know an aspiring writer? Are you secretly working out stories in your head? Even the Inklings (C.S. Lewis, J.R.R. Tolkein and friends) started like this. Join our secret society of writers. Working through instruction, video, quizzes, peer critique, class discussion and practice, we’ll cover all aspects of writing a short and longer work, including genre, setting, plot, characterization, and editing. At the completion of the year, students will have all the tools to finish their first Great American Novel.
An approximate 1-2 hours of homework per week is required for this class. How much more you time you spend on your passion…is up to you.
This course is worth one year’s high school English credit on his or her transcript.
