Come strum along with me as we enjoy the magical happy sound of the ukulele! This is a great beginning class for younger students interested in ukulele and guitar. The ukulele itself is easier to play, and offers all the technical details needed to further their learning if they ever want to play guitar. This course will give you the tools necessary to play the ukulele to a variety of different songs. The class will focus on learning about the ukulele, open chords,
picking and strumming patterns, reading music notation, practice ethics, and ukulele resources.
For this class you will need a soprano ukulele, a three ring binder, and a pencil. If you have questions about what kind of ukulele to get, please message me. All other materials will be provided.
During this class, Mrs. Drummond will be moving around and helping students to achieve the correct finger and wrist positions. That may require her to physically help the student move their fingers and wrist. Since Mrs. Drummond will be close to the students, she will be wearing a mask during the time she is in close proximity to the students. The students may choose to wear a mask during this time as well.
