In this six-week Book Club experience, students dive into the delightful world of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl while strengthening essential English skills through play, creativity, and discussion. This class brings language arts to life with wordplay, figurative language, descriptive writing, and character exploration inspired by Dahl’s imaginative style.
Activities include vocabulary games, creative writing prompts, discussion, puzzles, reader’s theater moments, and hands-on projects that highlight tone, humor, and storytelling structure. Students will explore themes such as kindness, consequences, self-control, and imagination—all while enjoying one of literature’s most beloved stories.
This ungraded, highly interactive class is designed to spark a love of reading and writing while helping students see English as something exciting, expressive, and fun.
